What are you reading?

At the moment I am reading Ghosts of Spain by Giles Tremlett.  It is not one of my usual reads, but I want to learn more about the Spanish Civil War.

    Have you read "Winter in Madrid" by CJ Sansom? It's a novel about Madrid after the Spanish Civil War. Pretty good read.

    I'm reading two books right now..."The Olive Harvest" by Carol Drinkwater and "Bitter Lemons" by Laurence Durrell. I think I'm in a 'Mediterranean' phase!

    I know what you meant about "phases." I haven't read "Winter in Madrid" - I'll look out for it.

    I agree, Winter in Madrid is good. I originally bought it because I'm always interested in books set in some of my favourite cities (Madrid, Berlin, New York) and was bought another of his books (Dominion) for Christmas. I may still have a copy of Winter in Madrid - I'll have a look for you. :)
